1. Start the conversation with an ordinary topic like the weather.
2. Slowly make them realize how perfect you have been since last year.
3. Without allowing them to make a criticism talk about how bad your friends are.
4. Give a random example of a friend who has been unsuccesful lately but got a new present from his/her family.
5. Talk about how old your phone is.
6. Show the advantages of a new phone but try to not talk about the price.
7. SLowly convey that you want that new phone.
8. Quickly get your eyes teared and try to look as innocent as you can be.
9. State that you will not want anything else for a year.
10. At last beg as hard as you can and say that you must have it or you will be dead because of embarassment of not having a new phone. (this technique is called as using hyperbole in a poem which is an efficient way to convince the opposing side in what you are believing)
PS: The important thing while doing this is to change the topics you are talking about as much as possible. This way you will confuse the opposing side and they will think that you have many reasons to have a new phone.
